If you want to kill a golem, aim for anything you want, but not the head : it will take less damage, but its torpor will rise. The Lava Elemental cannot be tamed. This is why aiming for its head will be a waste of time. Please keep in mind that i am saying that assuming it just differs from Rock Elementals by being untameable.
